What to Know About Wild Heart
KATSEYE is back, and they’re not playing it safe. The global girl group has returned with their third EP, WILD, and the “Wild Heart” version of the release is already sparking conversation among fans and critics alike. Here’s everything you need to know about the new era, the new music, and the new documentary that’s taking the group’s story to the big screen.
What Is WILD?
On August 14, 2026, KATSEYE released their third EP, WILD, via HYBE x Geffen Records. The five-song EP is the follow-up to their 2025 EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 and earned the group two Grammy nominations.
The official description of the project captures its spirit: “Moving beyond the beautiful chaos of their last chapter, WILD leans into something more euphoric and untamed. Rooted in self-discovery and self-determination, KATSEYE embraces every version of themselves, resulting in a project that feels open, boundless, and entirely their own”.
The EP includes the Billboard Hot 100 hits “PINKY UP” and “Animal,” the latter of which was co-written by Ed Sheeran.
What Is the “Wild Heart” Version?
“Wild Heart” is one of two physical versions of the WILD EP. The other is called “Wild World”. The “Wild Heart” version is available as a CD and as a UK-exclusive cassette, with various exclusive editions available through different retailers.
Each “Wild Heart” CD includes a photobook, CD-R, group photocard, sticker, photo strip frame, plastic keyring, and one random photocard out of five. The UK-exclusive cassette version also includes a bonus track called “Unloveu”.
The Tracklist: Five Songs, One Bonus Track
The standard WILD EP contains five tracks:
PINKY UP — 2:11
Animal — 2:38
Hootie Frutti — 2:20
Bel Air — 3:30
That Way — 2:56
The bonus track “Unloveu” is exclusive to certain physical editions, including the Target exclusive CD in the US and the Tower Records exclusive in Japan. The song was written and produced by KATSEYE member Lara Raj, alongside Amy Allen (who has worked with Harry Styles and Justin Bieber) and Ross Golan (Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez).
The “Wild Hearts” Documentary: A Deeper Look at the Group
KATSEYE’s new era isn’t just about music. It’s also about telling their story.
KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, a documentary directed by Nadia Hallgren, premiered in a limited theatrical run on August 12, 2026, just two days before the EP’s release. It is now streaming on Hulu and Disney+ as of October 16, 2026.
The film features never-before-seen footage, EYEKONS fan videos, and intimate interviews with the group members, exploring the bond between KATSEYE and their global fandom.
According to reviews, the documentary is “more a retrospective of the group’s history than a lead-up to the album”. It opens with the moment on Pop Star Academy when the final six members were revealed and traces the group’s journey through their first hit, their tours, and their transformation into a global phenomenon.
The review notes that the film “matters more as a record of the ‘official history’ than as an artistic expression,” but adds that “KATSEYE is an important part of our pop continuum, whether the viewer likes it or not, and this is the story KATSEYE wants to tell about itself”.
The Music Videos and Performances
KATSEYE has been steadily releasing visuals to accompany the new EP. The official music video for “Hootie Frutti” was released alongside the EP. The group also performed “Animal” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — their first-ever musical performance on a late-night program.
To celebrate the release, KATSEYE performed at the Citi Concert Series on NBC’s TODAY.
The Tour: Sold Out in Under 48 Hours
The new era is being supported by the WILDWORLD Arena Tour, which kicked off on September 1 at Dublin’s 3Arena. The global arena run sold out in under 48 hours and includes two-night stands at The O2 in London, UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, and Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City.
What Fans Are Saying
The reaction to WILD and the “Wild Heart” version has been enthusiastic. The EP’s lead singles have already made their mark on the Billboard Hot 100, and the group’s growth is evident.
Member Lara told The Tonight Show that WILD represents a new era of “maturity, growing up” for the group. The documentary captures this transition, showing the members “humble and at others fiercely determined” as they navigate the pressures of fame.
The “Wild Heart” version, with its exclusive photocards, photo strip frame, and plastic keyring, has become a collector’s item for EYEKONS. The UK-exclusive cassette, limited to four per customer, sold out quickly.
KATSEYE’s WILD
is more than a new EP. It’s a statement. The group is embracing a more mature, euphoric sound, and they’re bringing their fans along for the ride — through the music, the documentary, and the sold-out arena tour.
The “Wild Heart” version is the physical embodiment of that new era. Whether you’re a longtime EYEKON or a curious listener, there’s never been a better time to get into KATSEYE. The wild heart of the group is beating louder than ever.
