The invites are out, the leaks are everywhere, and the countdown is officially on. Tomorrow, Samsung will host its Galaxy Event August 2026, and all signs point to one star of the show: the Galaxy S26 FE.
Samsung has been teasing a “newest addition” to the Galaxy S26 family, and while the company hasn’t explicitly named the device, months of regulatory certifications, benchmark sightings, and even an unofficial unboxing video have made it crystal clear. The Fan Edition is back — and it’s bringing a new chip, a fresh design, and a higher price tag.

The event marks Samsung’s third major hardware showcase of the year, following the Galaxy S26 series debut in February and the latest foldables in July. If history is any guide, the S26 FE should go on sale shortly after the event, with a short pre-order period possibly beginning on the same day.
📱 Design: Familiar, But With a Twist
The Galaxy S26 FE follows the familiar Fan Edition formula — flagship-inspired features at a more accessible price — but this year brings a notable design refresh.
The biggest change is on the back. The individual camera rings of the S25 FE have been replaced by a vertical camera island similar to the standard Galaxy S26. The phone retains a flat display with rounded corners, slim bezels, and an Infinity-O punch-hole for the selfie camera.

The headline upgrade for the S26 FE is under the hood. After two generations on the Exynos 2400, Samsung has moved the FE line to the Exynos 2500.
Built on Samsung’s 3nm Gate-All-Around process, the Exynos 2500 is a 10-core CPU in a 1+7+2 arrangement, clocked to around 3.3GHz. It’s paired with an Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture.
This is the same silicon that powered the Galaxy S25 series in Europe — so it’s a year-old flagship chip, which is exactly what the Fan Edition formula has always been. It’s also appeared in the Galaxy Z Flip 7, so it’s far from untested.

📦 Software: One UI 9 and Seven Years of Updates
The S26 FE will ship with Android 17-based One UI 9 out of the box. This is the same software that debuted on Samsung’s latest foldable phones.
