Tulsa King Season 4: Sylvester Stallone Faces New Enemies in the Latest Chapter

Tulsa King Season 4

Dwight “The General” Manfredi is back, and his empire has never been more vulnerable. Tulsa King returned for its fourth season on October 16, 2026, and the stakes are higher than ever. With corrupt politicians, a dangerous new villain, and a devastating personal loss hitting from every direction, Sylvester Stallone’s mafia capo is fighting not just for power—but for survival.

A Crushing Loss Kicks Off the Season

The season 4 premiere wasted no time delivering a gut punch. In a shocking twist, Dwight lost both his girlfriend, Margaret Devereaux (Dana Delany), and his powerful political ally, Governor Cal Thresher (Neal McDonough), when their plane crashed over the Pacific Ocean. Thresher had just won the gubernatorial election at the end of season 3, and everything seemed to be going his way. Now, it’s all come to a screeching halt.

“I wanted people’s jaws to drop,” Stallone said of the twist.

The loss of Margaret is particularly devastating for Dwight, who had finally allowed himself to open up to someone after years of isolation. As the official synopsis puts it, Dwight faces “a crushing personal loss” as he tries to protect his crew.

The New Big Bad: A “Psychopathic” Enemy

With Thresher gone, a new threat is emerging—and according to Stallone, this one is unlike anything Dwight has faced before. The actor teased a “dangerous” and “psychopathic” new enemy that fans aren’t prepared for.

“There’s growing tension between Tulsa and the gangs in New York City,” Stallone said. The friction with Quiet Ray (James Russo) and the New York mob family has been building since season 3, when Dwight refused to hand over a massive chunk of his bourbon business. Now, that tension is reaching a boiling point.

Quiet Ray is reengaging the vicious assassin Turco (Robert Davi) to take down Tulsa, and the New York mob’s influence is tightening around Dwight’s operations. Meanwhile, FBI agent John Musso (Kevin Pollak) continues his vendetta against Dwight, using his power to take from the criminals he’s supposed to be investigating.

Political Pressure from Every Angle

With Thresher dead, the political landscape of Oklahoma has shifted dramatically. Gretchen Mol joins the cast as a series regular, playing Amanda Clark, Thresher’s determined lieutenant governor who now has her sights set on Dwight.

Dwight’s business ventures—including his bourbon distillery and weed empire—are under threat from all sides. As head writer and executive producer Terence Winter put it, Dwight “has all of his ducks in a row as far as his businesses are concerned. But of course, that doesn’t sit well with his enemies”.

A Crew Under Siege

The season isn’t just about Dwight’s external enemies. His relationships with his crew are also being tested. Frank Grillo returns as Bill Bevilaqua, and his dynamic with Dwight—which has swung between antagonism and alliance—is a major highlight of the season.

Grillo nearly didn’t return for season 4, but a personal call from Stallone changed his mind. “There’s a thing about him that I love so much,” Grillo said. “As soon as he says, ‘Do you want to come back,’ it’s like your mentor or older brother saying, ‘Do you want to come hang out with me?'”. He agreed on one condition: “If this is written well, and Bill is an integral part of it again, I’m down”.

The season also explores the evolving relationships within Dwight’s inner circle. Bodhi (Martin Starr) and Tyson (Jay Will) work together on Tyson’s burgeoning music career, while Mitch (Garrett Hedlund) runs schemes through his car dealership under Dwight’s oversight. Scarlet Rose Stallone returns as Spencer, and her character becomes more independent this season. “She’s flying on her own now,” Stallone said of working with his daughter.

The Show’s Darker Turn

According to early reviews, season 4 ditches much of the humor that became a signature of Tulsa King in favor of a more violent, bloody, and intense tone. The fourth season “feels like a bow on the story that’s been built over the last several years,” with Dwight forced to reckon with “loyalty, leadership and the cost of ambition”.

Each hard-won gain comes with even harder truths, dragging Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York. As Stallone put it, “He’s funny, but then again, you cross that line and he’s unbelievably dangerous. And that’s going to be on full display this season. Big time”.

Where and When to Watch

Tulsa King season 4 premiered on Friday, October 16, 2026, exclusively on Paramount+. The season consists of 10 episodes, with new episodes dropping weekly on Fridays. The season is expected to run until mid-December 2026.

Paramount+ has already renewed Tulsa King for a fifth season, with production underway in New York. The show is returning to Dwight’s mafia roots, shifting production from Atlanta to New York City.

Season 4 of Tulsa King

is a turning point for Dwight Manfredi. He’s no longer just building an empire—he’s fighting to keep it from crumbling. With a new psychopathic enemy, corrupt politicians circling, and the New York mob closing in, Dwight is being forced back into the street instincts he thought he’d left behind. As Stallone teased, “an interesting climax” awaits. For fans who have followed Dwight’s journey from exiled capo to Tulsa King, this season promises to be the most intense chapter yet.
